A popular trend is for couples who want a metalsmith to guide them (sharing knowledge & facilities) through the process of making their own wedding bands.

What could be more meaningful than this? Create each others' wedding rings with your own hands, in the course of a few hours. We will help you choose and order appropriate materials, or sometimes we even even help you melt down your old pieces of jewelry to make a brand new ring for you and your partner. We will guide you step by step through the process.

Private Lessons Wedding Ring Tutorial: 

Starting at $125 per hour plus materials. 

Typically the lesson takes about 4 hours and the charge is $125 per hour.

The midrange of the cost of gold is about $300-$400 per ring, of course this varies with size and style.
Once you choose the style,(i.e. plain band, profile, design) metal (i.e. sterling silver, 14K yellow gold, 18K rose gold, etc...)and finger size of your ring we can give you an estimated cost of materials.
If you agree, I will then collect the materials fee and a $95 deposit to hold your lesson date. Materials must be ordered at least 2 weeks ahead of the lesson.
